Year 6 Asda Kwik Cricket, 25th May 2010

Teesdale >>

It was great to see so many schools enter the 2010 Year 6 Asda Kwik Cricket Festival which was hosted by Raby Castle. Schools were split into 2 pools and each team played 5 games with the top two teams playing off in a final. The day produced some close games with students displaying their fantastic skills. Some fantastic batting, bowling and fielding helped Cockton Hill Juniors and Etherley Lane Primary School make the final. Cockton Hill Juniors were the eventually festival winners by 28 runs.

A big thanks goes to Raby Castle Cricket Club for hosting the event, what a marvellous place to spend the day playing cricket. Also the Year 10 Sports Leaders from Staindrop School did a fantastic job of scoring and umpiring all the matches the day could not have occurred without their help.
