Primary Swimming Gala, Tues 1st Dec 09 |

Pupils from the Teesdale and Staindrop Cluster schools showed off their aquatic skills when they competed in the first annual Teesdale Swimming Gala. Some fantastic individual performances were seen in the three swimming disciplines, freestyle, back stroke and breast stroke. After these races the overall results were extremely close. Green Lane C of E Controlled Primary School were just in front going into the Cannon Relay, also managing to win that to secure victory and a place in the County Final. Congratulations to those pupils.
A big thanks goes to, young leaders from Bishop Auckland College, the staff of Teesdale Leisure Centre, Lee Dalzell (County Durham Swimming Development Officer) and Teesdale Swimming Club who all helped to support the event.
